Hi Friends and Classmates,
As promised, we told you that there would be updates to the reunion and as it looks like right now, things are going quite well. The Friday night Welcome Dinner is progressing quite nicely. Responses have been coming in on a regular basis and attendance is increasing steadily as we have expected.
As you might know, the dinner is only the beginning of what hopes to be an action packed, memorable experience. Other weekend highlights include, group breakfasts at the diner, a driving tour of the school district, a walking tour of historic Huntington village, an afternoon karaoke paddle boat cruise around the harbor, guests hanging out at the pool, group dinners at various restaurants, Octopus at the Nutty Irishman, and perhaps bowling, Adventures Inn, Jones Beach, etc. depending on interests expressed.
But there’s more. The Golf Outing, that takes place on August 22, at 10am, has been adding classmates and friends of the class of ‘76 quite well. Remember, we are hoping to have a full group for the Mid-Summer 1st Annual Round of Play, so if you’re interested and would like to know more, feel free to just check on our website page for this event.
As originally planned, a standard play competition will be the format and in addition to the format, just for participating, everyone will receive a participation shirt, lunch, and open challenges such as Low Score, Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and much more. Each person will also receive a gift bag containing assorted goods that all golfers will certainly appreciate.
But there’s one thing we need from you. To gain a successful gathering, we ask that you tell everyone about the golf outing. Family, friends as well as anyone that wants to participate, needs to call. They can check the website www.HHHreunion76.com or just call or text (917) 817-2957. We’re happy to give any information to make this part of the reunion weekend a success.
Peace and happy weekend to all!
